Message from the MISA Chair
Greetings to all!
Hope summer is treating you well and our touring visitors are enjoying all the services we have to offer throughout our wonderful tourism destinations. Summer has finally come to the Pacific Northwest and we’ve enjoyed a great July and are hoping August will grace us with more sunshine and happy travellers.
This summer, we experienced a significant rockslide on the Sea to Sky Corridor north of Vancouver and on the way to Whistler site of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

How Much Information Can You Process?
On January 2, 2008, the FHWA published a Notice of Proposed Amendments (NPA) to the 2003 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) (FHWA Docket No. FHWA-2007-28977). Riley McCormick - Beijing Bound at 16
Those of you who attended the Philadelphia conference last year will recall my closing slide as part of my presentation– a picture of my son Riley and a bit of a “proud mom” story about his success in the sport of diving. On June 22nd, in front of a roaring home town crowd, Riley realized his life long goal and won the Men’s 10 Metre Platform event to secure his spot on the Canadian team. On Tuesday, I sent him off to Beijing and will be heading over later this month to watch him compete on August 22nd. If you are watching the Olympics this month (and who isn’t!!!!), keep an eye out for Riley. You can read more about him here: http://diving.ca/english/html/events/2008/OG08.htm
